Color of Indigo Isso is an Aizome atelier, which is conducted by Tokiko Kajimoto myself in Tokushima, Shikoku. *　Aizome is a Japanese traditional dye using indigo　　-- Ai means indigo I use natural indigo only and follow a traditional way of indigo dye, adding lye of woods (oak, cherry tree, etc.) into Tokushima's indigo, Since the past, people have put some beautiful names to the color of indigo. I think these names tell us how Ai has been familiar in people's life and loved well. To make you feeling the fascination of "Color" hiding in the color of indigo blue, I'd like to keep making simple products with good use of the materials. If one indigo dye product with natural touch and mood as its essence could give you comfortable and peaceful time to your life, I'm very happy.
